the Afghanistan Domestic T20 competition that plays out over the next month.
The largest winners of today’s opening two games were Speen
Ghar who beat Mis Ainak by 8 wickets with 8 balls remaining. Chasing 139, captain
and opener Usman Ghani led from the front with a 54 ball 66. When he fell in
the 17th over, Speen Ghar needed just 11 runs to seal their opening
victory.
In the other fixture Kabul beat Band-e-Amir by 6 wickets
with 34 balls remaining. The bowling of Azmatullah Omarzai was influential; his
3-16 saw BEA all out just 120 on the
board. Kabul needed just 14.1 overs to chase that down.
