As might have been expected of a T20 side playing a 50 over game, Peshawar Zalmi started strongly but then petered away as they tried to chase down 262. Their bowling unit proved strong with Mamoon Ur Riaz registering 3-31 as Namibia Eagles got to 262-8.
Lahore looked unlikely to chase that before a massive surge of runs between the 30th and 40th overs with two back to back overs yielding 14 runs before a wicket took the wind out of their sails. They eventually ended their innings 5 runs short in a thrilling encounter.
The second and final game is on Friday.
